Slogans: "Study Smart- Learn by Heart"

Study Smart - Learn by Heart

Even though Study Smart has its own slogan already ("Study Smart-Learn by heart"), we thought it would be funny to substitute our slogan with those of other companies.  These are the ones we came up with:

Study Smart- ingredients for life.

Study Smart- The future is friendly.

Study Smart-  The how-to people.

Ba-da-Study Smart- I'm lovin' it.

Study Smart- Think different.

Study Smart- Make. Believe.

Study Smart- It's finger lickin' good!

Study Smart- Save money. Live better.

Study Smart- Just do it.

Study Smart- Live in your world.  Play in ours.

Study Smart- The happiest place on earth.

Study Smart- Impossible is nothing.

Study Smart- Share moments. Share Life.

Study Smart- Challenge everything.

Study Smart- because you're worth it.

Study Smart- Keeps going and going and going.

Study Smart- Life's good.

Study Smart- Ideas for life.

Study Smart- I am what I am.

Study Smart- Success. It's a mind game.

Some of these slogans actually work pretty well, don't you think?

Dinosaur's Extinction

We challenged one of our students to write a paragraph using the following ten vocabulary words: archaeologist, encrusted, architects, intrigued, spectacular, hypothesized, cataclysmic, speculate, misfortune, metropolis.

Dinosaur's Extinction by Gloria (grade 7 ESL)

Archaeologists discovered dinosaur bones encrusted in rocks.  The fossils were placed in a museum made by intelligent architects.  Visitors are intrigued by the spectacular displays of the fossils.  Scientists hypothesized that the dinosaur died from a cataclysmic event.  People speculate that some animals have evolved from dinosaurs, such as lizard.  The dinosaurs had the misfortune of becoming extinct before the manatees.  The dinosaur museum is located in the metropolis of Saskatchewan.

Ducklings and Goslings

Have you seen the adorable little ducklings and goslings outside of Study Smart yet?

:)

Earthquake

In this poem, Lisa depicts the aftermath of an earthquake:

Earthquake
by Lisa (grade 10)

The world trembles under the cloudless sky,
bam, crash, clunk, bonk,
one by one,
the pieces fall apart.

Screams of terror and cries for help,
the shattering of a window,
the breaking of a table,
ring through the dark city

Red lights everywhere,
the sound of conversation
hands covered with debris and dirt
fervently searching.

In the midst of chaos
contains a small ray of light
hands work together
hearts become one

The shouts of joy
the synchronized cries
smiles of happiness
laughter of relief

People come together with one goal in mind
to help each other overcome this disastrous sight.
