Dinosaurs

One of our grade 6 students wrote a frightening tale about the reemergence of dinosaurs:

Dinosaurs by Keira
I would never forget that day when the dinosaurs came back alive all of a sudden.  I first heard the story from the scientists all over the earth who reported the same news, saying that there was a weird shake in the ground.  During the 21st century, when I was only 12 years old this whole incident happened to our country, Canada.
The scientists used a machine, which helped them to predict that the earth was shaking.  There were mysterious movements from under the earth and there were volcanic eruptions.  The earth was in chaos.  People were running on the streets aimlessly and didn't know what was going on.  I was really scared and ran with them.
When dinosaurs started to climb out of volcanoes, everyone on the earth was in a big panic.  Small buildings were shaking and collapsing.  The ground was cracking into small pieces.  There was no place for us to stand. I climbed onto a branch and hung there for dear life.  I saw people on the streets getting crushed by buildings and trampled by dinosaurs.  I called loudly to the people on the street to run into the gigantic, tall building beside me.  I jumped through the second floor window and saw one policeman holding a large laser gun.  He was shooting at those scary, monstrous dinosaurs on the streets.  He gave us a few more laser guns and asked us to help.  Within an hour, all the dinosaurs were shot and fell back into the cracks of the earth.
It took half a decade to rebuild the earth, but things were never the same again.  This incident was truly a frightening and traumatic experience.  I am so glad that I survived it.  We should enjoy our lives everyday.  Anything can happen tomorrow.
